The Old Ice House has been in business for more than five years making "the best pizza West of the Hudson." Owned and operated by Bear, (yes, just Bear), who learned to make pizza at the small pizzerias in and around New York City, his birthplace.
The Old Ice House was remodeled in 2000, and was indeed an old ice house at the turn of the century when Hope was a wild West railroad town.
We at The Old Ice House take pride in making pizza the old style, the handcrafted way, using only fresh dough, made of organic flour. (Visit Shepherds Grain for more information about our organic flour.)
Our meats are from locally-owned Woods Meats, revered for raising hormone and steroid free meat.
In spring and summer we grow our own ORGANIC greens and veggies at the BEARVIEW GARDENS near Trestle Creek. Ask Bear about garden tours!
Our pizza takes a bit longer to make, but we think it's worth the wait.
So sit back, have a beer, soda, or a glass of wine, and enjoy the view.
