Here's your chance to own a piece of Northwest Idaho's culinary history. Visit http://www.pizzeria-for-sale.com/ for all the details.

Order ahead ~ Call (208) 264-5555 to order pizza, get our hours, see who's playing, or just to talk about anything else your heart (or stomach) desires.
Our Menu ~ There's a reason they call it the "The Best Pizza West of the Hudson River." It is! We have lots of other great food as well. We make fresh salads, and you can always enjoy a beer or a glass of wine up on the deck overlooking beautiful Lake Pend OReille. Our lasagna has been especially popular (meat & vege). And our puff pastries are in big demand, both at The Old Ice House and at the Farmers Markets (starting in May Friday afternoon in Hope and Wednesday afternoon in Sandpoint.) Click on Complete MENU at the left to see all we have to offer. The most popular pizza with long-time customers is the Greek pizza, by far. Bear's favorite is the Margarita, with fresh basil, fresh tomatoes, marinara, and mozzarella. Simple and delicious. Much of the produce is grown at Bearview gardens just down the road. For more information , check out "The Advantage of Organic" link on the left.
Baked Goods ~ Wednesday and Friday are our big baking days, so stop by and try our savory breads, like sourdough rye, olive rosemary with roasted garlic, whole wheat with oats and honey, spinach parmesan, and many, many more. Our bagels are a big hit, too. As are baguettes, puff pastries (Italian sausage, Wood's smokies, and even huckleberry in season) and even spanakopita with spinach and garlic. Yum.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you soon!

2011 SUMMER FESTIVALS
To Be Announced!

In case you don't have your reading glasses handy, here's what it says:
When you've got a serious need for some real East Coast-style pizza and you're all out of frequent flyer miles, there's always Hope - Idaho, that is. The uber-funky Ice House Pizzeria on Main Street in tiny Hope (pop. 80) has freshly baked focaccia bread, calzones, and pizzas served whole or by the slice. You can also get sweet baked treats, plus hats, scarves, beads and all manner of accessories. But the pizza is the thing: think, molten cheese; fragrant, lightly spiced tomato sauce; yeasty crust that's not too thick, not too thin. This stuff is authentic enought to bring on a Boston accent. (AC)
The Old Ice House Pizzeria got a great review in the April 27-May 3, 2006 issue of The Reader, an alternative weekly published here in Sandpoint. Here's an excerpt:
"With one of the coolest, funkiest storefronts in the area (it has to be seen), an amazing hilltop view of Lake Pend Oreille, outdoor seating, and pizza that rivals the best you'll get west of the Hudson River, the Old Ice House is an essential dining experience."
The Old Ice House Pizzeria is pleased to have been featured in Sandpoint Magazine, the premiere regional publication for Northern Idaho. The article traces the renovation of the Old Ice House Pizzeria from its Wild West roots to its current state of "funktitude" and also sheds light on owner/proprietor Bear's eclectic past.
